Newbies

All newborn photo shoots should be scheduled within ten days after birth.  The reasoning for this is to capture that newborn curl that they will soon loose.  These sessions typically last longer, because it’s important to me to take my time with your precious bundle of joy.  We will have lots of breaks for feeding, changing, and soothing.  The best time to take the photos is after the baby has been fed so they are very comfy and sleepy.  The use of white noise and a space heater can be very helpful.  I encourage you to turn your heat up in the room we’ll be using if you don’t have a space heater.  I also will bring a heating pad to place under your baby to help keep them calm and warm.  Parents, please be prepared to be my assistants.  I will need help with posing and spotting.  Have lots of baby wipes and towels handy for the accidents that will occur while getting those oh so adorable naked shots.  Also, props will add personality to the photos.  So, get out any sentimental items, blankets with lots of texture, hats, etc.  I will bring some of my props as well.
